Right next to the Capitol on the east side.
This is very good news. This means it not just rotting in committee like
many bills do. We have another opportunity to get something done.
But we've got to show up as we did last time.
Now is the critical time for everyone on this group to make a simple
phone call and write a letter to each of the Senate
Education
Committee members. They need to hear from you now. If you've already
sent them one then please send them another one and call them.
(Clarification:
No matter what county you live in, we all need to call every member of the
Senate Education Committee.)
Their secretaries could not be nicer or more easy to talk to. It is a
very easy call so do it today.
The Legislature is not in session March 20-24 due to "spring break"
but
you can call and write anyway.
I especially urge everyone to call again on March 28th after lunch or
anytime on March 29th and ask to speak with each Senator. Urge the
committee to allow this bill to make it through committee and to the
floor for a vote.
Remember - we're going to win this, but we need everyone to act NOW in
order to make it happen now rather than having to drag it out for
years.
